Robbery & Burglary
Pursuant to California Penal Codes 211 through 215, robbery is defined, as “the felonious taking of personal property in the possession of another, from his personal or immediate presence, and against his will, accomplished by means of force or fear.” Certain robberies (Estes Robbery) can be accomplished even if no force or fear of force is used except to resist attempts by victim to regain possession. Burglary is a theft crime (P.C. 459.) Burglary involves illegally entering a person’s workplace, car, house or building to steal property or commit a felony.
